Two men have been taken to hospital after a crash on the M9 near Stirling.

The motorway remained closed for more than seven hours after the incident at around 5.10am on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to the scene and the men were taken for treatment. Their conditions are unknown.

The collision near Junction 10 Craigforth Interchange has forced the road to be shut northbound up to Junction 11 Keir Roundabout.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.10am on Sunday, January 22, police were called to a report of a road crash on the M9 northbound, near to Junction 10.

“Two men have been taken to hospital. Officers are at the scene and the road is currently closed northbound.”
