A crash on the A720 was reported at around 1.15pm on Wednesday with traffic backed up to Straiton.

Drivers face delays after a two-car crash on the Edinburgh City Bypass caused long tailbacks.

Traffic Scotland issued an alert to drivers that there had been a collision between Baberton and Dreghorn on the A720 at around 1.15pm on Wednesday.

The alert warned drivers that they faced delays of upto 25 minutes.

Police Scotland were called to the scene and confirmed there had been no injuries as a result of the crash.

Traffic Scotland said: “Due to an earlier collision, traffic is slow on the Westbound carriageway.

“Travel time is approximately 25 minutes and traffic is backed up to Straiton.”
