A three-car crash has closed both lanes on the M90 northbound towards the Queensferry Crossing on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the motorway ar around 3pm.
The collision left one vehicle on its side in the central reservation.
It is not clear if anyone has been injured but police said recovery of the damaged cars has been arranged.
Traffic Scotland said queues were able to pass on the hard shoulder but there were delays.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3pm on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, officers received a report of a three vehicle crash on the M90 northbound near South Queensferry.
“Recovery has been arranged for the vehicles.”
