A teenager has been arrested in connection with “culpable and reckless conduct” after objects were thrown in the direction of Hearts goalkeeper Zander Clark during the Edinburgh Derby.
The 30-year-old required treatment from the Tynecastle club’s physios after appearing to be struck by a projectile from the crowd during the match against capital rivals Hibernian on January 2.
A probe into the incident was later launched by the club.
Clark said he “wasn’t sure what it was” that hit him in the aftermath of the incident but added he hoped the “hierarchy [would] do something about it”.
Police Scotland has now confirmed a 16-year-old has been arrested over the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
