A teenager has been arrested following a crash involving an e-bike and a car in Grangemouth.

Officers were called to the scene of the collision on Portal Road around 11.45pm on Thursday, May 30 between an e-bike and a small white hatchback car.

A 17-year-old male was arrested before being released pending further enquiries, police said.

Another 17-year-old, the rider of the e-bike, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone who has not already spoken to officers and can assist is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 4450 of Thursday, May 30.”
