Teenage girl thought to have boarded bus amid missing person appeal

A teenager thought to have travelled to Edinburgh from Dumfries and Galloway is at the centre of a missing person appeal.

Niamh Lynch was last seen in Lockerbie on Tuesday, February 28 but may have boarded a bus to the capital since then.

The 15-year-old is described as a white female, around 5′ 7″ tall, of average build and with long hair.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Police Scotland as soon as possible to aid in the force’s search.

A statement read: “Anyone who may have seen Niamh, or who has any information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 1149 of February 28.
