A teenager has been charged in connection with a series of thefts and attempted thefts following break-ins in Midlothian.
The offences took place at various business and educational establishments in Dalkeith between Tuesday, October 24, and Sunday, November 19, 2023.
The 17-year-old is due to appear before Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “A 17-year-old male youth has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of theft and attempted theft by housebreakings in Dalkeith.
“The offences took place at various business and educational establishments in the area between Tuesday, October 24, and Sunday, November 19, 2023.
“He is due to appear before Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, November 23, 2023.
“We would like to thank the local community for their assistance with this matter.”
