Six men have been charged with attempted murder following a disturbance in Edinburgh in which a BMW was also stolen.
Police were called to Southhouse Square in the city’s Gracemount area at around 8.35pm on January 26 following reports of a disturbance involving several men.
A 25-year-old man was found seriously injured and taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, while a second man, aged 24, was also injured in the altercation and sought medical treatment.
Police said that a black BMW car was stolen during the incident.
Extensive enquiries were carried out and police confirmed on Monday that six men aged between 20 and 58 have now been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Sergeant Steven Dick said: “I would like to thank the members of the public who responded to our appeal for information and came forward with information.”
