An investigation has been launched after a railway worker at an Edinburgh train station was grabbed and verbally abused by a member of the public.
Police are looking to identify the person who attacked the worker on the platform at South Gyle railway station before causing the train to be delayed by blocking the doors with their arms.
When the train finally started to leave, the individual then spat toward the member of rail staff.
British Transport Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident around 11.35pm June 15 to come forward.
Witnesses can contact British Transport Pollice by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 817 of June 15.
