A man has been arrested following a crash which saw a car land on its roof and several others damaged in Dunfermline on Sunday night.

Police were called to reports of an overturned car on Leadburn Avenue in Wellwood at 9.45pm on Sunday.

A 25-year-old man was arrested following the incident for a motoring offence after being taken to hospital for treatment.

Locals reported the scene was “pure carnage”. STV News understands that several other stationary cars were also damaged.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of an overturned car in Leadburn Avenue, Wellwood, Dunfermline at 9.45pm on Sunday, August 28.

“A 25-year-old man was arrested for a motoring offence and was taken to hospital for treatment.”
