Officers are looking for a driver who failed to stop after hitting a dog in the Scottish Borders.
Police Scotland said the animal was struck by a vehicle at around 7.30am on Wednesday on Jedburgh Road in Kelso.
The force has asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 2298.
