Police re-appeal in search for man missing for almost a week  Police Scotland

Police are continuing to appeal for information in the search for a man missing for almost a week.

Kenneth Wessels, 61, has been missing from Tullibody, in the Forth Valley, since Wednesday, May 4.

He was last seen leaving the Newbiggin Crescent area at around 4.45am.

Police have established that Mr Wessels drove his Black Toyota Yaris car – registration number SF14 DCT – to Carsebridge Road, Alloa.

There was a further sighting of the 61-year-old in the Gartmorn Dam area of Alloa later in the afternoon of Wednesday, May 4, 2022.

Following investigations, a reported sighting of Mr Wessels at Tullibody Health Centre has been ruled out.

It is understood Mr Wessels has links to Brighton, the Falkland Isles, St Andrews and Aberdeen.

He is described as being white, 6ft tall, of medium build, and is clean shaven with short grey hair.

Mr Wessels was wearing a yellow long sleeved high-vis jacket, blue jeans and was carrying a dark coloured rucksack.

Inspector Andrew Angus said: “I would like to thank everyone who has helped so far in our efforts to trace Kenneth.

“Unfortunately, following enquiries we’ve concluded the sighting at Tullibody Health Centre was not Kenneth and the search for him is ongoing.

“I would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen Kenneth or has any information about his whereabouts to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1083 of May 4, 2022.”
