Police have launched an appeal after a transit van was spotted speeding in the Borders.
The incident occurred around 12.30am on Saturday when officers spotted the vehicle, believed to be a light-coloured Ford Transit Connect, driving at speed along Melrose Road in Galashiels.
Officers signalled the transit van to stop, however the vehicle instead drove off towards Langlee and was last seen in the Langshaw area.
Police said enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver and the vehicle, however no one was injured in the incident.
Sergeant Martin Gibson, of Galashiels Police Station, said: “Our enquiries to trace the driver and vehicle are ongoing.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and could have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward, you may have captured something which could assist us in our enquiries.”
