Police are treating the death of a man as “unexplained” after a body was found in a Fife village.

Officers were called to the Leslie area, near Glenrothes, around 7.30am on Sunday morning following the discovery of a man’s body.

Enquiries into the death are “ongoing”, police said.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.30am on Sunday, February 25, 2024 we were made aware the body of a man had been discovered in the Leslie area.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
