Police are searching for a man who went missing while out walking his dogs in Edinburgh on Sunday morning.

David Turner, 68, was last seen walking his two cocker spaniels – one brown and white and the other black and white – in the Adamslaw Place area of the city at around 11.30am.

Mr Turner is known to often visit the Inch or Portobello areas of Edinburgh, or Musselburgh in East Lothian, police said.

Officer are appealing to the public for information on his whereabouts.

Mr Taylor is described as having short white hair and wearing glasses. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black joggers and black trainers.

It is unclear whether one or both of his dogs have been found by police.

Inspector Steph Garnett, at Craigmillar, said: “Concerns are growing for David’s welfare and we want to make sure he is safe and well.

“We are asking anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2550 of Sunday July 21.
