Ten-year-old girl 'left shaken' after being hit by motorbike

Police are now attempting to trace two teenage suspects in connection with the incident.

A 10-year-old girl has been “left shaken” after she was hit by a motorbike on Saturday evening.

The girl was on a footpath between Logan Way and Morrison Way in Knightsridge, Livingston when the incident occurred.

She was taken to hospital for treatment and officers are now looking to trace two teenagers in connection.

The two suspects are around 18 to 19-years-old, with one driving a blue and white motorcycle.

Extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Inspector Kylie Barnard, of Livingston Police Station, said: “The victim and her family have been left shaken by this incident and we are appealing for information to trace those responsible.

“We are also keen to hear from anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage.

“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3223 of August 6.

“Alternatively, a call can be made anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
