Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted and robbed in Bo’ness.

The incident took place on Saturday at around 4.40pm on Drumpark Avenue.

A 41-year-old man was walking close to a shop in the area when another man approached him.

He was then assaulted by the man, before the attacker made off with a small sum of money.

Officers attended the scene and the 41-year-old man was taken to Forth Valley Royal Infirmary where he was treated for his injuries.

Police say that the man responsible for the assault is described as white, aged between 20 and 30-years-old and is of slim build with short dark-coloured hair. 

He was wearing a white hooded top, grey trousers and white trainers.

Detective Sergeant Shirley Coyle said: “We have been carrying out enquiries and studying local CCTV footage to gather more information to identify the man responsible for this attack. 

“Any witnesses, or anyone with information that may assist our enquiries should contact officers through 101 quoting reference 2465 of September 4. 

“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
