A country house in the rural hills of East Lothian has lodged plans for an outdoor swimming pool complete with its own changing rooms and pool house.
The owners of Humbie House want to build the 11m-long pool in the gardens of their home.
The hamlet of Humbie lies ten miles south-west of the town of Haddington in the Lammermuirs and is made up of a population of less than 400 people at the last official count.
Humbie House itself lies to the west of the main settlement near the parish church.
Plans submitted to East Lothian Council reveal the pool, which will be 5m-wide and up to 1.5m-deep, will be built in the garden grounds of the house next to a large oak tree.
At the furthest end of the pool, plans for a pool house with changing facilities and a living room are also proposed.
A stone paved walkway around the pool is also included in the designs.
The Category C-listed house is on the outskirts of the hill hamlet of Humbie.
It features on maps of the area dating back to the late 18th century and is described by the Gazeteer for Scotland as sitting 600ft above sea level in the Lammermuirs.
