A person has been taken to hospital after a fire broke out at a prison in West Lothian on Wednesday.
Emergency services were called to HMP Addiewell shortly after 3.30pm on May 3.
Police confirmed that one person has been taken to hospital by ambulance, but their condition is currently unknown.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the blaze.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a fire within HMP Addiewell shortly after 3.35pm on Wednesday, May 3.
“Emergency services attended and one person has been taken to hospital by the ambulance service.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
