Multi-vehicle crash on busy Edinburgh bypass causes delays for motorists Google Maps

Motorists are facing lengthy delays after a multi-vehicle crash on the City of Edinburgh Bypass on Saturday afternoon.

At 5pm, Traffic Scotland reported that the A720 westbound at Straiton was closed due to a multi-vehicle collision.

The westbound lane 2 was reopened at 5.15pm but delays of around 16 minutes are likely.

Road users have been advised to take caution on approach and allow extra time for their journey.

It is not known if there were any injuries as a result of the crash.

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
