A motorcyclist has died in a crash with a flatbed truck in the Scottish Borders.
Emergency crews shut down parts of the A7 just outside Stow following the incident on Friday evening.
Paramedics rushed to treat the 41-year-old after his black Suzuki bike collided with the vehicle shortly after 7.55pm, however he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck, a white Scania, was uninjured in the incident.
Road policing officers carried out an initial probe at the scene, but an appeal has now been launched for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Investigators say they are particularly keen to hear from drivers with dashboard-mounted cameras who may have captured footage of the crash.
Sergeant Scott Kirkpatrick, of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of the man who died in this crash.
“Our enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and would appeal to anyone who has any information to come forward and speak to police.
“I would also ask if there are any motorists who have possible dashcam footage of the area around the time of the incident to get in touch with officers.”
Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3553 of Friday, August 19.
