A pensioner who died following a disturbance in the north of Edinburgh has been named by police.

Charles Paul was found with serious injuries at an address on Granton Crescent after officers were called to a property at around 11.20pm on Saturday March 25.

The 69-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 36-year-old woman was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, March 27.
