A man was taken to hospital after a “disturbance” in Edinburgh city centre.

Emergency services were called to the city’s Hunter Square at around 3.50pm on Monday after receiving reports of a disturbance involving two men.

One man was taken to hospital. His current condition is unknown.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing at this time.

A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: “Around 3.50pm on Monday, February 12, 2024, police received a report of a disturbance involving two men in Hunter Square, Edinburgh.

“Emergency services attended and one man has been taken to hospital. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
