A 39-year-old has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed on a street in Midlothian.
Officers were called to Cowden Crescent in Dalkeith at around 6.55pm on Tuesday after receiving a report of a man being found injured.
He was taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called around 6.55pm on Tuesday, 7 September, 2021 following the report of a man being found injured on Cowden Crescent, Dalkeith.
“Emergency services attended and a 39-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2964 of 07/09/21.”
