A 26-year-old man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in West Lothian.
The incident happened at around 12.40pm on Sunday on Loganlea Road in Addiewell.
The victim was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
Police Scotland said a man may have left the area at the time on a white trike.
Detective constable Francis Sinnet said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are keen to speak to anyone with information that could assist us.
“Enquiries so far show a man was seen at the time and may have left the area on a white trike.
“In addition, please get in touch if you have private CCTV or dash-cam that could help with our investigation.”
