A man has been arrested following an alleged attempted murder in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called to Groathill Road North after a man was left injured following an alleged attempted murder at around 2.30pm on Wednesday, May 29.

The 41-year-old was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment to serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police confirmed that a 34-year-old man was later arrested in connection with the incident.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing at this time.
