A man has been charged after a cyclist was knocked down by a car in a hit and run on a roundabout in the Borders.
The woman was on her bike on the Melrose Bypass A6091 at around 12.45pm on Sunday when she was struck by a silver hatchback.
The driver left the scene at Melrose roundabout before police arrived and the cyclist was taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment.
Her current condition is unknown.
Officers have confirmed that a 64-year-old man has been charged in connection with the crash.
Police have thanked the public for their assistance with the appeal.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
