A man who was behaving in an “abusive manner” was taken to hospital after being knocked down by a bus in Edinburgh City Centre.
Emergency services were called to Princes Street at around 7pm on Thursday after receiving reports of a pedestrian being struck by a bus.
A 71-year-old was subsequently taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
The same man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with behaving in a threatening and abusive manner, police said.
A spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving a bus and a male pedestrian on Princes Street, Edinburgh, around 7pm on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
“The 71-year-old male pedestrian was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
“He will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.”
