A man has been arrested following a three-vehicle crash that left a woman in hospital on Tuesday morning.

At around 8.30am on January 10, emergency services were called to reports of the three-vehicle collision on St Bunyan’s Place in Leuchars.

Three fire appliances and one heavy rescue appliance were mobilised to the scene by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS).

Firefighters removed one casualty from a vehicle.

Officers have confirmed that a 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences.

The A919 at St Bunyan’s Place was closed following the incident but has since reopened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.30am on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, officers were called to a report of a three vehicle crash on St Bunyan’s Place, Leuchars.

“One woman has been taken to hospital.

“A 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with a road traffic offence and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

“The road has reopened.”
