A man has been arrested after the death of a 53-year-old woman in a hit and run in Falkirk.
Officers were called to the A872, at Avonside Drive, Dunipace, after receiving reports that a woman was struck by a car at around 12.30am on Thursday, December 15
Emergency services pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
She was later identified by police as April Mitchell, from the Dunipace area.
A 63-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with the incident and police said a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
