A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder.
Kevin Lowrie, 48, has been accused of assaulting a 36-year-old man to his severe injury and danger of life following an incident in Edinburgh’s Marine Drive on Saturday.
He has also been accused of having an offensive weapon in his possession.
Lowrie, of Edinburgh, made no plea when he appeared at the city’s sheriff court on Monday and was remanded in custody.
He is expected to appear in court again within the next eight days.
