Man appears in court after Bonfire Night disturbance

Police were called to Letham Park in Livingston after reports of reckless use of fireworks.

A man has appeared in court accused of threatening and abusive behaviour on Bonfire Night in West Lothian.

Robert Main was charged after a disturbance at Letham Park in Craigshill, Livingston, on Sunday which saw “reckless use of fireworks” with them directed at officers, police said.

Main appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court on Wednesday where he made no plea, was released on bail, committed for further examination.

The 39-year-old is due to return to court at a later date.
