Man and woman to appear in court after fatal Hogmanay pub shooting

A man and a woman are due to appear in court in connection with a double shooting outside a pub in Edinburgh on Hogmanay that left one man dead.

Emergency services were called to the Anchor Inn pub on Granton Crescent on December 31, at around 11.50pm, after a firearm seriously injured two men, aged 38 and 39.

Both were taken to hospital where the 38-year-old man was pronounced dead a short time later.

He was later identified as Marc Webley.

Marc Webley was identified as the man who died following the shooting.

A 32-year-old man and 25-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Both are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
