Three people have been left injured after a dog attack in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to the Craigentinny Road area of the city at around 8.30am on Thursday after receiving reports that three people had been bitten by a dog.
Two were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and one person was treated at the scene.
The dog involved in the attack has been seized, police said.
Its owners, a man, 31, and a woman, 27, have been charged in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.30am on Thursday, November 30, 2023, officers received a report of three people having been bitten by a dog in the Craigentinny Road area of Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended and a one person was treated by paramedics at the scene. Two people were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
“The dog has been seized.
“The owners of the dog, a 31-year-old man and an 27-year-old woman, have been charged in connection with the incident. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
