Traffic Scotland via SuppliedA major road has been closed in both directions after a lorry overturned, blocking it.
Emergency services were called to the M8 at Hermiston Gait, when the accident happened on Tuesday afternoon.
The eastbound slip road from the Gogar Roundabout to the A720, City Bypass, has now been closed.
The condition of the driver is currently unknown.
A police spokesperson said: “Due to an overturned lorry on the M8 at Hermiston Gait, the eastbound slip road from the Gogar Roundabout to the A720, City Bypass, is closed.
“The M8 remains open but traffic may be slow moving in the area.
“Drivers are urged to avoid if possible.”
