The M8 was partially blocked eastbound near Edinburgh on Tuesday morning due to a shedload on the carriageway.
Traffic built-up on the approach to the blockage near Junction 2 at Claylands shortly after 7am.
Traffic Scotland said there were delays of around 30 minutes due to incident.
The shedload was cleared at around 7.30am, but traffic remained heavy.
