Little Lion Girl: Scots five-year-old stuns with viral roar impression

Riley Scot has sent social media into a frenzy with her convincing lion impression.

A five-year-old Scottish girl has gone viral after stunning millions around the world with her impression of a Lion roar.

Riley Scott sent the internet crazy, amazing the likes of Jennifer Lopez, with her convincing impression of a Lion that sounds just like the real thing.

Her mum Amy Scott told STV News that her daughter had been “playing lions” and roaring since she was two-years-old and became obsessed with the Lion King.

Ms Scott never thought much of it, but after sharing a video of Riley letting lose her roar with her 3.7m followers on TikTok, thousands of comments began questioning whether it was real or not.

“I think because I’d heard it every day, I never thought it was as good as what everyone is thinking it is so when people asked ‘is this even real’,” she told STV News

“I’m like, surely it doesn’t sound that good that people are questioning it?”

“The first video wasn’t anything to do with the roar, I was shopping to take her to Madagascar The Musical and I told her that she had to go and pick out an outfit for her surprise and it was animal themed.

“And she just threw it in there, then people went nuts for it,” Ms Scott said.

After the first video gained traction, the mother-daughter duo responded to show off Riley’s roar again with the video racking up 8m views.

Riley said that some of her friends didn’t believe it was real at first until she did it for them in person.

While the five-year-old has lots of fun roaring, it’s not the only animal impression she can do, with a convincing horse neigh also in her wheelhouse.

Ms Scott realised her daughter’s talent had gone beyond TikTok when she got messages saying that they were on the news and radio in different countries like India and Australia.

“It’s absolutely crazy,” she said. “We actually heard ourselves on the radio and they even put her in a song.”

The video continues to reach people around the world including in Hollywood.

“Just last night, an internet vocal coach that reacted to the video and stitched it. They were shocked watching it and then JLo commented it on,” she said.
