'Increasing concern' for missing teen known to frequent city

Police said he is known to frequent busy areas of Edinburgh including St James’ Quarter.

‘Increasing concern’ for missing East Lothian teen CJ Johnstone known to frequent Edinburgh Police Scotland

Police are growing “increasingly concerned” for a schoolboy missing from East Lothian who has links to Edinburgh.

CJ Johnstone, 15, was last seen at around 2.30pm on Sunday, May 5 in the Clark Buildings area of Ormiston.

Police said he is known to frequent the St James’ Quarter and Waverley areas of Edinburgh.

He is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, with short brown hair which is long on top and was last seen wearing a grey and black hoodie, black trousers, and black and white Vans trainers.

Sergeant Ross Falconer, of Musselburgh Police Station, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for CJ’s welfare and just want to make sure he is safe and well.

“I would urge anyone who has seen CJ or knows where he is to get in touch.

“Likewise, if CJ sees or hears about this appeal please call us or your family to let us know you are ok.”
