A city centre street has been locked down after a man fell “from a height”.
Police and paramedics were called to Cowgate, Edinburgh, at around 10am on Thursday after receiving reports of a man falling from a height.
Officers were also stationed on George IV Bridge, the elevated street that runs over Cowgate in the capital’s Old Town.
The condition of the individual is not yet known.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were made aware of a man having fallen from a height on Cowgate in Edinburgh around 10am on Thursday, March 17, 2022.
“Emergency services are currently in attendance.”
