Four reported for dangerous driving after ‘reversing up on-slip road’ onto A92 in Fife Police Scotland

Four drivers have been reported for dangerous driving in Fife after “reversing on a slip road to avoid traffic”, police said.

Fife road officers were attempting to control traffic after a car broke down in a live lane on Thursday on the A92 between Lochgelly and Kirkcaldy.

Police said four vehicles were “caught on camera” reversing up the on-slip road to avoid waiting after congestion began to build.

Officers reported four motorists for “dangerous driving”, and warned that the offence is one of the “fatal five”.

The term refers to the five main causes of fatal collisions: careless driving, drink and drug driving, not wearing a seatbelt, using a mobile phone, and speeding.
