Fire crews were called to a blaze in a flat in Edinburgh’s city centre on Christmas Eve.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed that a call was received shortly after 7pm to a fire in a flat kitchen on Leith Street.
Three fire engines including a height appliance were called to the scene at 7.08pm.
Crews ventilated the property and extinguished the fire shortly before 7.30pm.
An SFRS spokeswoman said: “We attended a fire in a dwelling in a kitchen at 7.08pm.
“Three appliances including a height appliance attended and ventilated the property and the fire was extinguished at 7.29pm.”
