Emergency crews rushed to Dunfermline town centre to tackle a blaze in an empty shop.
At around 12.50pm on Sunday, four fire engines and a height apparatus were deployed to the scene on Queen Anne Street.
Shortly after, at around 1.05pm, police arrived at the scene. No injuries were reported and the blaze was extinguished by 2.11pm.
Police Scotland said that enquires were under way to establish the full circumstances of the fire.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We were called around 1.05pm on Sunday, December 18, to a report of a fire in an empty shop in Queen Anne Street, Dunfermline.
“The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
