An elderly woman is in hospital following a crash in Fife on Wednesday morning.
Police were called to Dunnikier Road in Kirkcaldy at around 11.40am on August 30 after receiving a report of a crash between a car and a pedestrian.
Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, an 88-year-old woman was rushed to hospital by ambulance.
Her condition is currently unknown.
The road was closed for a period of time while investigations were carried out and was reopened at around 3pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.40am on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, we were called to a report of a crash on Dunnikier Road in Kirkcaldy involving a car and a pedestrian.
“Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, an 88-year-old woman, was taken by ambulance to the Victoria Hospital.
“The road was closed while investigations were carried out and reopened around 3pm.
“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
