Princes Street reopens after pedestrian hit by bus 

Princes Street was closed just after 11am this morning following a crash between a bus and a pedestrian.

Edinburgh’s Princes Street was closed earlier today as emergency services dealt with a collision between a pedestrian and a bus.

Police were called at around 10.50am to the incident and just after 11am on Tuesday, police announced that the street is closed to traffic.

Road users were urged to avoid the area and emergency services remain on the scene.

At the time Lothian Buses which service Princes Street were diverted and the trams were running a part route from Edinburgh Airport to West End.

Police have confirmed that the road has now fully reopened.
