A main road in Edinburgh was cordoned off on Friday morning after a man was found dead.
Shortly before 4am, emergency services were called to a report of an injured man on Princes Street in the capital.
A 20-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Buses and trams in the city are disrupted as a result of the incident.
Trams are running from Edinburgh Airport to West End and Balfour to Newhaven and ticket acceptance is in place on Lothian Buses between Foot of the Walk and Haymarket.
Buses are unable to serve Princes Street westbound from Frederick Street and are instead diverted via Frederick Street, George Street and South Charlotte Street until further notice, Lothian Buses said.
Police said that enquiries were ongoing and there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.50am on Friday, October 13, 2023, we were called to a report of an injured man on Princes Street, Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended however the 20-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing but there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.”
