A car rolled on to its side in a crash that forced the closure of a street in Edinburgh.
The silver vehicle left the road near the capital’s Haymarket at the junction of West Maitland Street and Coates Place shortly after 5pm on Friday.
Ambulance, police and three fire appliances rushed to the scene, though it is currently unknown whether anyone was seriously injured.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said crews had left the scene after “making the vehicle safe”.
Road policing officers shut off the road, while drivers were encouraged to find alternative routes.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a collision at West Maitland Street in Edinburgh around 5pm on Friday, September 22.
“Emergency services are at the scene and the road is currently closed.”
