Drivers rushed to hospital after collision between bus and car

Both motorists taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy following accident in Glenrothes in early hours of Saturday morning.

Two drivers were taken to hospital after a bus and car collided in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The accident happened at around 7.10am on Woodwide Way in the Fife town of Glenrothes.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Both drivers were taken by ambulance to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.”

Their injuries are not believed to be serious.

It comes a day after a cyclist was taken to hospital after being hit by a car at a roundabout in Glasgow.

The woman was struck by a red Toyota at Sheildhall Roundabout near Braehead at around 7.40pm on Friday night.

She was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Her condition is unknown.

Separately, a former Royal Marine from Auchmithie, near Arbroath, was killed in a cycle crash on Friday morning.
