Driver taken to hospital after crash between van and broken-down bus

A driver has been taken to hospital after a crash between a broken-down bus and a van in Kirkcaldy.

Emergency services were called to the A92, between Lochgelly and Kirkcaldy, at around 10am on Saturday after a white van collided with a bus on the side of the road.

The driver of the van was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The A92 westbound at the Redhouse roundabout was closed for around an hour following the crash.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We were made aware of a crash involving a van and a bus which had broken down on the A92 between Lochgelly and Kirkcaldy around 10am on Saturday, November 25.

“The driver of the van has been taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. The van has been recovered and recovery arranged for the bus.”
