A man, woman and child have been taken to hospital after a crash between a bus and a car in Fife.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Hayfield Road in Kirkcaldy, at around 11.20am on Thursday.
A man, a woman and a child were taken to hospital by ambulance. Their ages and conditions are currently unknown.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 11.20am to a report of a crash involving a car and a bus on Hayfield Road, Kirkcaldy, eastbound.
“A man, a woman and a child from the car were taken by ambulance to hospital.
“There were no reported injuries from the bus.
“The road is closed eastbound for recovery of the vehicles.”
A Stagecoach East Scotland spokesperson said, “We can confirm that an incident occurred today where a vehicle collided with the rear of one of our vehicles.
“The passengers on board the bus and our driver were uninjured; an ambulance was called for the driver of the other vehicle.
“Safety is our absolute priority, and our thoughts are with those affected by what will have been a frightening incident. We will be supporting the investigation into the circumstances involved.”
