A care home has transformed its community garden into a scene from the Wild West to mark National Care Home Day.
The last few months have been a challenging time for residents and staff at Holmesview Nursing Home in Broxburn due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, they didn’t let that get in the way of their celebrations.
Billy Meredith, activities coordinator at the home, came up with the idea.
He said: “The residents love music, I know quite a lot of country songs so it was easy for me to pick the music.
“We try to have a themed day every month.”
He said activities like this play an important role in the residents lives.
Margaret Campbell, manager at Holmesview Nursing Home, added: “They love their group activities which we haven’t managed lately.
“The residents have really missed the company of their friends and other residents, so we thought we’d have a socially distanced party.”
